Who has the best cell phone service and why?

Neither! I would go with Sprint. They have no roaming, nights start at 7 (free) 6 ($5) . No overage, or Free Incoming, free pcs-to-pcs, faster data. And if you want to go totally wireless you get a discount on your aircard service, which is faster that anyones. I cancelled my DSL and the card is just as fast.

In the past 3 years I have had both Cingular and Verizon. In my area Verizon was the better coverage, which is the single most important feature in my opinion. Billing and fees were about the same. I would really try to ask people in your area what carrier they have and ask them about coverage area and dropped calls and that sort of thing. Right now, I down-graded to a Tracfone for financial reasons, but its coverage area is just as good and I still get options like Caller ID and VC mail along with a camera phone.

latingurl doesn't know what she's talking about. verizon has the largest network and is a national so no roaming charges. i've had verizon for about 6 years. i really recommend verizon. they have nicer phones and the best coverage area.

CIngular has good phone service i have it and i have no problem with it. Verizon good sevice but they have roaming so they charge you for that. In Cingular does not have charge you for roaming it's ether this is sevrive or there isnt.
It's your choice.
