Taken to extremes, homophobia can injure the person as much as the object of their distaste.
My partner's family abused us for the 42 years of our union. However vile their treatment of us and of Gwenneth after her death, they could not destroy our happiness. God alone knows if they were happy or merely existed in hard holy misery. They certainly did their best to destroy me!
I have forgiven them and no longer care what they think.

Neither do I young lady. One of my friends says that he has no problem with gays, and at the very next breath, he says all kinds of mean things about them. I remind him how cruel he sounds. There is a place for everyone on this planet. If people want to fight over such trivial things, I say, let them move to Ireland or some place like that, where they have been fighting over religions for centuries. To me that is brainless to do that, but they do. Just like here in the USA, some people don't care for gays, so they try to invoke others to believe exactly as they do. I also believe in individualism, and there's none of that, if you believe what others want you too, and not what you want to.

Nobody can actually answer your question.
All I know is that homophobes are just ignorant and racist. All they have against us is "Leviticus", a book where homosexuals and lobsters are abominations, but most of them can deal with lobsters.

Becuase straight is the majority, and the majority generally benefits from oppressing the majority.

Hard to explain ignorance. Best thing to do is to continue to not spead the hate.

"Homophobic" is just a label designed to spread hate. Most straights could care less about homosexuals, as long as they don't get in their face. Yes, it's a sin. But there are plenty of others to choose from.
Oh, well!

It's a fear, just like any other phobia. It's irrational and needs treatment to be overcome.

I disagree with the homosexual lifestyle. I believe that it is wrong for many reasons: there would be no procreation and human race would die out, it's unnatural is one reason. In your opinion I am a homophobe, ignorant, stupid, etc. Am I not allowed to have my own opinion too? Why does the first amendment only apply to you? Now, are you going to jump on the PC bandwagon and excersise your freedom of speech start calling me names? Oh, but I think you already have. So, can I start excersising my freedom of speech too?
