can one file chapter 7 on bills that are joint but cant find other 1/2 i need to know A.S.A.P thanks..?

my girlfriend wants to file but most of the bills are in both names and she can't find him. can she still file chapter 7 on just her own bills or can she file on all of them without him? thanks..

Yes, when she files it will release her obligation to the bills and they will go after the other person on the bills. Go to the website below. I got alot of help from them when I filed. Hope this helps!

She can file a chapter 7 on all bills in her name, even if they have someone elses name on them also. Once she files the other person would be responsible for the bill, not her. Her liability on any bills in her name are gone.
