i want to be more talkative with my friends because im always the one on the side listening to my ipod and not contributing to my friends conversation. i sometimes talk with them alot but most of the time im quiet. i wana be like a talkative person and i try to be talkative to everyone but when i talk to anyone i tend to become quiet becase my mind goes so blank and i dont know what to talk about. i try to talk about anything.the weather myself them but i just go blank.

No, it makes you more reclusive because you are not actually talking a person. You need to be more outgoing & confident with real people.

Wow, I completely understand. I seem to have the same problem and I recently have thought that chat rooms, AIM, and facebook would help me, but that is hard also. The best advice I can give you is to keep trying to talk with your friends. A good friend once told me that everyone has an opinion or thought about any subject at hand. All you have to do is find your voice and practice vocalizing it vs. hiding in the corner. If you just try to say something to people you come in contact with each day, I will continue to do the same. That something can be a "hi", "what's up?" how are you? or even a compliment. Good luck.

nooooooooo! chat rooms are only a way to hide your true self. You DEFINITLY wont become more social. Just suck it up and go talk to some friends and people at school. Be yourself, talk about dreams, things that happened, up coming events, anything. stay out of the chat rooms unless your being social inperson also!!! =] good luck
