No, you can usually get forms there but they don't do your taxes. it is possible that some community groups may exist to help you with your taxes. Call your county social services department.

Some public libraries host volunteers from VITA or TCE, but far from all. Our local one does. The volunteers aren't associated with the library, but use it as a site to do taxes. Check irs.gov for more info on these two programs, and to find a site near you.

Most public libraries have a supply of most of the common tax forms, instructions and publications, but the library staff is usually not trained to give any tax advice or help.

No, but many of them have the forms and instructions. Try doing it online, if you prefer not to pay for a professional to do it. Go to www.irs.gov and click on the efile icon.
