If apples are $.10 per pound, and oranges are $.25 per pound, then how much did my house cost me? Your question is just that vague. Is the garage insulated, will you use gas or electric,Do you want it heated all of the time or just when you are working in it? Before calling contractors in you need to be more specific about what you want. Their contractors, not psychics.

Your existing heating system for your home can not be extended into the garage, because it was not designed to heat that additional square footage. You'll need a separate system for the garage. You don't have to insulate if you don't want to, you'll just pay much more in utility bills.

You would have to have it framed inside and insulated. There is a possibility they could run a duct from your existing heat system, depending on what you have. The cost would depend on the size of the garage, the cost of materials in your area, etc. I would think a good contractor would have the job completed in 1 to 2 weeks.

You would need to insulate the roofspace and walls and then decide what type of heating to use. Call at least 4 or 5 contractors and get estimates.

It would have to be framed up inside if it is not already and insulated through-out. remove car grage doors. and frame up and add a door if you do not have one yet. Then the heating can be added of your choice
