"Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett is quite good but long. It is realistic, not fantasy.
Someday go ahead and read Malory's "Le Morte d'Arthur." If you get a decent edition it is readable enough, and lots of fun.
"I Am Morgan le Fay" by Nancy Springer is a quite good "young adult" version of the King Arthur story, using current historical understanding.

If you are in for fantasy, you have lots of options. I personally recommend Raymond Feist's "Magician" and the series (its called Riftwar) Also, you can try David Eddings books, they have a humorous style, you can like them.

A good fantasy is Lord of the Rings, of course.
