This is something that's been bothering me for quite a while...
In the Ring, you die if you watch the tape. I never really quite got why Rachel didn't die...could someone tell me? thanks. =]

She copied it and passed it on. The little girl wanted to be heard, so by copying and passing it on she spread the word for the girl. Didnt make sense to me at first either.

Because she made a copy of the tape. That is why at the end she has her son make a copy of the tape so that he didn't die either.

rachel found out that if she made a copy of it and made someone else watch it before the time was up you wouldn't die. That is why she had her son make a copy of it.
