The black actor from Grey's Anatomy, Isaiah Washington, is in therapy because he called the fairy on the show a f a gg o t. Is he out of his mind - have we sunk so low that we need to be reprogrammed, and have our thought changed with what ever is the politically correct thought of the moment?

PCism has gotten completely out of control! Freedom of Speech no longer applies to everyone, just libs, it seems. I was called a "lard" a while ago in the grocery store by a little kid (maybe 5 or 6), his dad who was holding his hand (we were all looking at cookies) tried to supress a big smile, without success. The dad did not apologize, he just walked away with the kid. Should I have called my lawyer to start a lawsuit? Should I have contacted my local chapter of Big is Beautiful and planned a rally, and gone on the local talk show to display my angst for being called, dare I say it, a NAME? People need to get a freekin' grip! Name calling has always been around, and will always be around, no law, therapy or anything else will ever change the way humans have been forever!

I think you need to re-examine your question. Everybody deserves to not have their life ridiculed.

Do I think it is going over the top to call an illegal alien an undocumented worker - yes. But what you are saying is a man, who happens to be gay, should be called a fairy. Fairy is a derogatory term. Pretend that someone called the actor in question the "N" word. It is the same thing.

I think we as a nation should look at changing our attitude towards other cultures and people and not look at that as if we are being politically correct rather that we are caring human beings.

Now do I feel that Mr. Washington belongs in therapy - no, unless he has unreasonable fears of homosexuals. Mr. Washington should just realize that all people deserve a life without being criticized for what and who they are.

Politically correctness is the community's way of creating someone experience ostracised for stepping on the sentiments of others. i in my opinion do not recognize that that's operating, notwithstanding that is meant to keep bigoted statements in verify with the help of conformity. A non-conformist will say even with they please, therein lies the flaw. The hypocracy of u.s., it says on the Statute of Liberty, "provide me your huddled 1000's." that is speaking about immigrants. that is speaking on human beings from distant lands. in the adventure that they arrive right here for freedoms which aren't any further afforded them of their usa of foundation, extra ability to them. What you call them, is immaterial. no one is organic white, black, latin, asian or some thing else. The racial cleansing that many try for failed. everybody has another entity in them. extra often than not from early settlers of each and every foundation exloring distant lands and having sexual kinfolk individuals at the same time as they were given there. imagine of each and every of the plundering of the Indidans, the Aztec Indians, the Eskimos and all who've been molested throughout each and every conflict. i imagine that covers the finished international. in the adventure that they want to be noted as American even with at the same time as they get right here that is their decision and proper. the most placed upon and the in user-friendly words race that did not come right here willingly is the African individuals. As in the event you're gay, I understand the bible states that fornication of all varieties are undesirable and sinful, yet guy does no longer aspect palms at those who're shacking up. It does no longer promote homosexuality over fornication of the different form. In Sodom and Gomorrah, it become no longer homosexuality that were on condition that land decimated, it become wanton, fornication void of moral status, spouse swapping, incest, premarital sex and homosexuality. human beings use the bible to chastise others. end TAKING issues OUT OF CONTEXT! all of that is faulty. If gays did no longer have outward coach of emotion you does no longer recognize what they do in the back of closed doors. yet they experience, what's powerful for the goose is powerful for the gander and if instantly human beings coach their thoughts outwardly, gays experience they could too. that's why the marriage challenge is this variety of warm one. yet in a unique thanks to split the strong from the undesirable? No, that is taking the bible out of context. guy has no administration over God's note and they are going to quickly locate that out.

Why equate one individual to everyone.

In this case, unnecessary, almost violent insults are being corrected. The dude could be saying anything, the words don't matter. It's not politically correct, it's just correct.

He is now in rehab !! Someone with a microphone should watch what they say. What he said wouldn't bother you and I but it was meant to be hurtful to the individual. It could hurt this persons career...which is his ability to make a living. To what purpose was this said ??? It was bad judgment and wasn't the first time.

When will people learn that name calling is not nice ever?

It doesn't matter who does the name calling, it's like the pot calling the kettle black.

My grandmother said. "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all."

I hope they become friends.
