They have to see other patients

My doctor has a FIT because I hate those 'paper gowns' they give you, and would rather just get 'undressed' and 'be naked' in front of him or his nurse ... but then I'm 'old' (560 and have NOTHING TO HIDE (anymore). Most doctors 'leave the room' for TWO reasons ... they want to give you as much 'modesty' as you want, and because they have OTHER PATIENTS that they could be seeing while you're getting undressed.

That is very clever and true...but they do it for the privacy of the patient..and at least when they come back in you have a sheet over you ♥

I don't think patients would want to strip down in front of their doctors

It is still improper and unethical to be face to face while someone is stripping off the clothes.
