this equation is...
3x+x-8=0
I got
x-Intercepts @ (2,0)
y-intercepts @ (0,-8)
and i got the slope of 4
is that right?

No...the point (0,-8) isn't on that line.

3x + x = 8, so 4x = 8, so x = 2

X = 2 is a vertical lining passing thru (2,0). So your x-int is right. But it doesn't have a y interecept! It doesn't ever pass through the y axis.

The slope is undefined. It has no slope. Vertical lines have an undefined slope. (cuz you'd hafta divide by zero to calculate it, which is a math no-no)

Your equation doesn't involve "Y" so the solution is a point where 4x=8 or x=2. If your equation was y=4x+8 then the answer u've listed would be correct. Need to pay attention to the details. good luck
