Im introducing my 2 gerbils bob(boy) and Vanilla(girl )for the first time. I have switched their bedding around and switched cages and everything so that they can get used 2 eachothers scent. Vanilla has groomed Bob so far and doesnt realy seem 2 mind him, but bob seems really nervous. They have both tussled a bit, and run around and rolled with eachother. The movements seemed really fast and spontaeneos when they did this, and Im not sure if it was fighting of not. I didn't hear any squeaks. Should I separate them or are they just playing? (Thay have just met each other)

If one was grooming the other before, I think that they are playing, but keep an eye on ythem. Don't leave them alone for a second. We had a pair of sisters and introduced them to a new pair and the original pair killed the other. Both pairs died from the fight.

wait a while, only seperate them if they start biting each other, or bleeding ocurs, and only have them in the same cage if you are home. from what you said, they seem to like each other, and if they start quarreling, or fighting just blow a puff of air on them,
don't give up it takes a while!
hope this helps!!

They are probably ok but you do know that hundreds and hundreds of babies WILL occur don't you? It's not just rabbits that that saying should describe. Hundreds dont forget, hundreds and hundreds. Cool names!

well as far as I'm concerned you dont have to separate them if they have babies they will take care of them togeather. they were fighting but it is not serious.
