The thing about the first trimester (first 3 months) is that if something harms the baby it will abort almost straight away, in the 2nd and 3rd trimester is when abnormalities and problems can harm the baby from drinking etc, as the baby most likely wont abort and can take on the affect of whatever you have taken or drunken. I think you should be absolutely fine. I also drank and smoke, and also got two xrays before I found out at 4 weeks I was pregnant, nothing happened though, now of course I dont drink or smoke, and as above the doctor said if it would have affected the baby it would have aborted by now, so not to worry I am sure it will be fine

Half the time we don't know until around 5 weeks at the earliest that we're pregnant...if even then. So, things other than just straight out drug or alcohol abuse are probably low on the danger scale.
I found out about the same time. I still smoked. I quit immediately and the baby is just fine...I'm now 31 weeks.
Double-check with your doctor on the first trimester and Vicodin issue for sure, but I actually had dental work and a dry socket and have taken Vicodin (with the blessing of my OB) and they approve it for 2nd and 3rd trimester for sure.
In fact, this may make you feel better, the dental guidelines sheet that they hand out to anyone/everyone there didn't list anything about which trimester, so it's probably okay.

As long as you have stopped, then everything should be fine. Do you have any idea how many women do exactly what you've done without realizing their pregnant?
Your baby is only a clump of cells right now and hasn't technically "tapped" into your blood stream. The baby is an embryo, and is living off a yolk sac.
I found out I was pregnant the day after drinking gin and tonics in the sun. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and the baby is fine so far according to ultrasounds.

When i was pregnant i didn't find out until i was 11weeks along and i had done a lot more than drinking... while i was pregnant i had a bad tooth ache and the doctors gave me vicodin for the pain they said that as long as i only took it when needed the baby should be fine... and during delivery in north carlina the doctors gave me a morphin drip and my lil girl is perfect so you shouldn't have anything to worry about...

Not to worry you stopped when you found out with it being so early into your pregnancy it should not harm the baby. But your first answer you got I'm sure didn't help your thoughts. Way to go mark next time do me a favor and don't use that word its disrespectful. Any ways i went about 6 weeks with out taken Pre-Natal and the baby's healthy. Also I have taken plenty of pr drugs (that were safe) and Tylenol and the baby's healthy.

you gained't understand till your infant is born even though it is unlikely that at this level of being pregnant something will take position. The organs and each little thing have not totally advanced yet so i doesn't hardship. when you're heavily thinking keeping your infant although, i counsel you now to not bypass close to tanning shops and positively now to not contact alcohol. Neither of those products are good for an expectant mom. also make advantageous you persist with a healthful eating regimen and get each and each of the right supplementations and so on. tanning shops are truly undesirable for you, no longer purely because your pregnant, yet they have been appropriate to causing pores and skin maximum cancers and different issues. i'd propose you to stay remote from them and use pretend tan from a bottle when you're that afflicted about being tanned. The more suitable you care on your body, the more suitable care you'd be taking of your unborn infant. best of success.

I drank and smoked cigarettes.. and maybe a little grass too (It's a personal choice) until i found out i was pregnant ( 4 weeks is when i found out).. I felt awful. I was so afraid something was gonna be wrong. Both of my sisters also drank before they knew, and i know people who have done worse. The important thing is that you quit once you found out, i hope you did.. I went cold turkey the morning i found out havent done anything but eat since :) Good luck, i'm sure you will be fine... It happens.

I just read that the average person takes 6 drugs (including aspirin, caffeine, and alcohol) before she even knows she's pregnant. Also, for the first couple of weeks of pregnancy, the embryo does not receive any of your blood supply. Every single thing I have read says not to worry so much about what you did in the weeks before you were pregnant, it's what you do now that matters. I went on somewhat of a drinking binge the week after I got pregnant (not knowing, of course), but I'm now 33 weeks and everything looks completely normal! So relax and enjoy!

I dont know exactly how much it takes to damage a fetus, but chances are, baby will be okay. I had quite a few drinks at a party not knowing is was pregnant with my son. I was probably about 2 weeks along. He was born very healthy, thankfully! Just take care of yourself from here on out!
