No, there is no reason to even suspect that, not for the world, certainly not for the US.

Nope. Right now things are going better in Denmark than they have for a long time. We have a record-low unemployment and we're almost through paying off all debts we have. Now, the US economy might get into some trouble at some point, which would naturally cause a backlash, but I'm fairly certain that the EU, or at least Northern Europe, would be able to handle themselves.
Granted, I'm not an economist, so I'm just speaking out of what I can glean from news and friends who know about stocks and such.
