two #3 picks

Jordan and Wilt

Jordan after hakeem and Bowie and Wilt after Bob Boozer (#1), Bailey Howell (#2)

Kobe is a good choice but he was 18 at the time before the highschool craze and didn't blow up for a few years after that. Plus there where a lot of great players taken early in a great 96 draft with the busts not coming in until like the 7th pick. Same draft as Nash and Kobe was definatly the bigger steal than Nash

The Chicago Bulls getting Michael Jordan from the Blazers. The Blazers chose Sam Bowie because they had Clyde Drexler. And look at what happened. Or you could say that the Lakers got over when they acquired Shaq from Orlando, for some chump change. And even then you could say that the Lakers got over plenty of times with getting wilt and Kareem for as little as less then a penny.

Steve Nash hands down. Drafted in the 1st round 15th pick out of Santa Clara(school of 9,000). Pretty unknown. Fans booed him. Played first two years with the Suns, rode bench, went to Mav's blew up. Now on the Sun's he is hands down the best player in the league and every team would want. 2 time MVP should get another to make it a three-peat!

The Bulls also traded Olden Polynice for Scottie Pippen right after the draft, prolly not too smart.

I might agree on Kobe. Steve Nash is the best point guard in the league, but his teammates haven't gotten any championship rings

Definitely Michael Jordan with Portland and Houston overlooking him for big men.
