With a program that writes useless data on the entire drive. Because if you delete it, all data is only hidden from the operating system and can be recovered with data recovery software. Best bet is to destroy the hard drive.

on linux: you can boot a live cd and then do dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/path/to/hard/drive
