The only true democracies were those of the Ancient Greek city-states if I recall, and they fought against each many times. The "democracies" of today are actually republics. Democracy is literally "rule by the people", and with today's population there is no way true democracy would work. Republics, which the U.S. is, is where representatives are elected to represent what they think the people want. There have been many wars fought with republics. Oh and democracy has been around since Ancient Athens. Limited democracy and the form we use in America has been around for a shorter time.

I don't know if that's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. No, I don't think Nazi Germany was a democracy, Hitler was a dictator. The reason why that would be (if it's true) should be obvious. Democracies are ruled by governments that are chosen by the people. So, in theory, the people (as a majority) rule the country. There would be nothing to rebel against, at least within the country. Also, a democracy is a relatively new type of government, so it really hasn't been around long enough to go to war with someone. And we have passed the age where countries (or most of them) are going after each other for land. And even if there still were, most people wouldn't want to fight a war merely to gain land...they wouldn't want their sons and husbands to go die just so the country could be bigger--that was mostly aspirations of like dictators and emperors--people who had sole power and wanted more. Anyway, does that answer your question?

True. They have all made alliances with each other since they were all based off of the same founding principles.

The closest that you could come to would be the wars in the 1800s with Britain and the US, but britain was still a limited monarchy,

I thought NAZI Germany was supposedly a Democracy.

Woops, I got it wrong. Hitler, head of the Socialist Workers Party, was appointed Chancellor, ending German democracy.
