Why does everyone think that Manning has to choke for the Bears to win the Superbowl?

What if the Bears just step up and beat the Colts outright?

Hey AC, I've been defending Grossman to all my friends most of the season. Don't lump me in with everyone else.

Well they are a lucky team more than a very good team. So if Payton chokes it would be a lucky break for the Bears. But what if the Colts get all the lucky breaks and the ref throws the flag on the Bears for BS reasons are they call a fumble when its not really a fumble and make the Bears look like crap, how will the Bears fans react. If the Bears win I'll have to assume the officials were payed off and the game was rigged like the last two they played.

That's the best you could come up with, the Saints had a weak defense and stopped them 3 times at the 1, one time they tried 7 times from the 2 or 3 yard line and got 3 points, the Colts defense is much better than the Saints, so what does that tell you the Bears will fall like a huge rock, unless the game is fixed. I think its because the Bears fans don't think they have a good enough team to beat the Colts; so they rather see them choking and making mistakes (like the Saints) so, the Colts can beat themselves. What's better than getting what you want without working for it? :-)~

because they don't know one thing about the colts and the tinkh the one who is advertisied so much is the one who really carries the team but they are dead wrong. And when the colts win even if Manning chokes then they will feel like fools for believeing that crap.

I'm a Colts fan but I completely agree. The quarterback isn't the whole team. He could be awesome but if the receivers/runners/defense isn't playing as well it won't matter. Plus the Bears could just outplay them (not expecting though ^_^).

Neither team is going to be able to run the ball much, so it's going to be a QB battle. Put Manning vs. Grossman in a QB battle 100 times and Manning will win at least 90 of them.

the thing is that this is the closest he has come and he is favorite by 7 points to win.
