i dont understand why they are funny. i guess you have to be high or drunk with a group of friends to enjoy them. am i wrong? can you watch them straight?

some movies strike me as just plain stupid. Take the second Ace Ventura movie- I really wanted to enjoy this movie because my wife thinks it is hilarious. I sat through it, but it was so stupid! I think that her feelings were hurt a little that I didn't think it was funny too.
I guess that everybody has a different threshold for humor- I don't think it is related to IQ, however.

Sometimes stupid humour is needed. One day you may be enjoying a farce by Moliere, and the next day watching Anchorman, the Legend of Ron Burgundy. The human psyche needs variety! It's not a matter of lack of intelligence (although Larry the Cable Guy is not usually my cup o' beer), but what you're in the mood for!
