it also has craters in it so I dunno how I'd get to those.

I would call a disaster response team - ServiceMaster (www.servicemaster.com) for example - I don't know where you live so I don't know what would be in your area. They can give you ways to clean that won't harm the surface.

You could try detergent and a scrubbrush, but if that can't get at the craters, you may have to paint it. That would be a last resort.

Vinager and water mix.....50/50 and spray it on like windex. It'll cut right through the smoke damage.

We use Muric Acid, Will clean brick, stone ,etc
