I think it's those that can't be changed. If we don't like our job, we can get another. If we don't like our climate, we can move. But if we have children, they are forever. If we make an impact on someone, that can change his/her life forever. If we don't take good care of our bodies, we will regret that decision later. Basically, IMO, it's those decisions that can't be changed easily if at all, those that affect the lives of others and those that have long lasting effects and create ripples that affect life the most.

Having children. When you have children it changes your life most of the time for the better. Being a parent means you have to set an example. You have another human who depends solely on you until they are 18.

I married young and divorced young. By that time I had one child. Every decision you make determines what needs your child will be met.

I worked at menial jobs, quit and joined the Navy. My child was well cared for emotionally, physically and of course dental.

Like one person said children will always be your children and you will do what you can for them. They will come second to your spouse.

'The decisions that derive from the Heart, and conversely, those in which we make our appeal from the Mind. Of itself, the first is the greatest and most building; while the second, the most destructive; the first again hosts the light; while the second, the darkest and most grim.

But either nonetheless affects our lives the most.

The decision to make decisions. If we choose to interact with others or pursue goals based solely on our own impulses and desires, we have chosen a life of selfishness which will almost certainly do immense harm to others. We must lay our hands on the power that we do have and DECIDE TO CONSCIOUSLY DECIDE how we will act where others are concerned.

It is the small ones that may seem trivial. This is because in summation the little ones ultimately define who we are. And it is the little decisions we make that guide us in making the decisions that are seemingly larger.

This is the great value in listening to your heart and mind and making decisions that will reflect you are and who you want to become.
