The whole Band of Brothers was a great series, but when they found the concentration camp, that was hard to watch.

Yes, they can be very sad. One movie that I like alot is, " We Were Soldiers", starring Mel Gibson. I can't even begin to tell you which scenes stuck with me, there were so many. But one scene that stuck with me, was the dance the soldiers had, before they went off to war and everybody was dancing with their wive's and then Mel Gibson gave a speech and told all the soldiers that were heading off to war the next day that "some of you may not make it back, but I promise you, that no soldier will be left behind, dead or alive, I will bring you home". Those words made chills go through my body.

Yes, they do. In Saving Private Ryan, I'll never forget the scene during the D-Day landing when a wounded soldier was dying and calling for his mother. I've never been able to watch that movie again because it is very upsetting and violent.

Not all war movies are totally depressing. My favorite movie of all time happens to be a war film called "Underground" and directed by Emir Kusturica. It's a film about Yugoslavia in WWII, riddled with hilarity, obscenity, and sorrow side by side, and somehow I always leave it feeling incredibly uplifted! It also happens to have an amazing soundtrack...

the world famous photo taken during the vietnam war with the s. vietnamese office firing a pistol at the head of a man on his knees and the spray of blood makes all hollywood movies kinda boring to me. they don't look real. they look like little boys playing cowboys and indians or whatever they call it today. looks like hollywood which i dispise. there is one scene that nearly sticks from full metal jacket where vincent d'onaro (sp?) loses it in the head and blows away the drill sargent. that was the only real looking thing that ever looked real. only real documentaries look real to me.

Yes, they do. I hate watching that, because I just feel so darn bad for them. Especially the POWs. Especially, I'd HATE being captured like that.
That scene, where Richard Attenborough and all those English guys get shot in the Great Escape, oh that's horrid.

Movies about war depress me, so I don't watch them. The only exception is M*A*S*H.

the bit were the guy in full metal jacket gets pinned down and gagged by the fellow army men and is beaten with soap in there pillow cases (or socks) and even someone who is supposed to be his freind does it more than once. then he is left there crying.
it stuck cos it was evil and the fact it was brutal
