i can't believe I am going to say this as an Oakland fan, but have you ever been to Fenway? One of the most coolest stadiums in all of baseball. I pretty much hate all of the new stadiums, except maybe Camden yard. They all lack the character and charm of places like Fenway. It is old school baseball. Having said that I do not like the seats above the green monster. they look lame. but then it is the smallest stadium in all of the MLB.

New stadiums are not the cure for everything. And not all new stadiums are great. I personally cannot stand "phone company" stadium in SF. I hear all this talk about things like great sight lines and I always wonder where. I have sat every where in that dang place and it all is completely horrendous. When I go to a game, I want to watch the field, not look at some lame coke bottle or mountain structure in the outfield.

Fenway is simple and classy. Just the way baseball ought to be.

The renovate to get the park up to code and to make it a better place to watch a game. I Love Fenway, Its got history, its the place that Ted Williams played, where babe Ruth, DiMaggio, and most of the best games in pro baseball have been played there. The new ball parks are shiny and nice but there's no history,no sticky feet from spilled drinks during exciting times in the game. i love Fenway and the Red SoX! theres a reason that fenways sold out every game for the past few seasons

They keep renovating Fenway Park because it is in need of more space. They don't get a new stadium because Fenway it's like the White House, it has to be there. It's a Boston icon, America's most beloved Ballpark. It holds too many memories. The Red Sox will not tear down Fenway for a new stadium.

Boston without Fenway Park? Can you imagine that. It's like Moscow without the Kremlin .Fenway Park is the oldest stadium and it has a lot of history behined it.It is the Red Sox's fans holy grail.

Good question. Even though Fenway park is approaching 100 years old and only seats 38,000, it doesn't appear to be replaced anytime soon. Fenway Park is a sacred landmark to many Red Sox fans. Tearing it down would have to go through a difficult political and PR process that many in Beantown are not willing or able to do.

Instead, they keep slapping lipstick on that cow and keep jacking up ticket prices to go to Red Sox games.

Because it is part othe American baseball tradition just like Wrigley field in the NL. You can make it bigger or you can big a new stadium but you cannot replace Fenway Park.

Because New England sports fans tend to be thickheaded. They don't want to lose Fenway even though the Sox clearly need a new park (yes I'm a Red Sox fan). If the fans had their way, the Celtics and Bruins would still be in the old Boston Garden. As it was, the state had to condemn the Garden before they agreed to build a new arena.

Although I have never enjoyed a game there,The Green Monster is a Historical Landmark, like Yankee stadium,it will be a sad day in Baseball when these stadiums are torn down and replaced

Boston may riot if Fenway was torn down. I love this field. It is old but that is what makes it great. Renovate...do not tear down.

Red Sox fans love their beloved Fenway Park. The Red Sox provide the best entertainment for their fans as much as possible. The reason why they keep updating because is cheaper and its better than constructing some state of the art baseball stadium.History is where it counts this is one of the most prestigious ballparks in America and one of the most celebrated!Although I hate and despise the Red Sox at least they care about their fans and their needs! so why build a new ballpark its a waste of taxpayers money!
