After beating Rafa Nadal last night in straight sets, I would be saying Fernando Gonzalez! He destroyed Nadal with his forehand, and he is capable of beating anyone who doesn't have the power to match him.
He has played 3 great defensive players so far (Hewitt, Blake and Nadal) and they just cannot match Gonzalez from the back of the court.
Tommy Haas is next, and I think Gonzalez will win in straight sets. Haas doesn't have the power to match Gonzalez, and unless Gonzalez cracks under the pressure he will put Haas away.
Federer vs Gonzalez final would be an awesome match. Seeing Federers silky skills against Gonzalez's power on the hardcourts is a great prospect.

Anyone on any given day can beat anybody. Will they have a consistent winning record against him? That will take a very special, talented, and intensive tennis player at the top of his game.
Age and willingness will probably be the deciding factor for Roger.

Andy Roddick beat him just this month (Jan 13) at that invitational exhibition tournament in Australia, a warm up to the current Australian Open. Granted it was exhibition so Federer probably didnt care too much :)

For now maybe not, I was looking forward to a Federer vs. Nadal match but that Gonzales guy was good. But I have that feeling that he'll be Number 1 this year again! After all, he has a lovely lady to support him.

yes, tommy haas can. i think he was the only one that took him to 5 sets last year? also if safin was better at controlling his emotions, maybe he can beat him again.
