Why did they pick Prince for the Super Bowl Half Time?

I figured the lingerie bowl would be best fitting. Or maybe the puppie bowl. Seriously though, why prince? I really wish they would get someone that really rocks! A band that's not in their late 100's i.e. The Rolling Stones. But don't get wrong, I like the stones.

I honestly don't understand why on earth they did pick Prince.....

I mean sure, he was great back in the day! (Don't get me wrong!) Purple Rain, Little Red Corvette, Raspberry Beret, Let's Go Crazy, Cream, etc.....

And last years show SUCKED, no offense....The Rolling Stones did their thing back in their younger years but good gravy, why did we have to be subjected to old men that are my Grandmothers age or older, wearing tight pants and dancing around, gyrating on stage, singing their older material?

I will never get who is responsible for the show selection picking who they pick.

I still say it's a hell of a lot better than Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, or some other watered-down-for-TV performer like the ones they've had since the Janet Jackson fiasco..

Prince at NASCAR. Yeah, right.

Prince is arguably the most talented American performer in decades. Nobody is allowed to rant at me that I'm wrong, that's the Kid Toucher unless you are familiar with Prince's full catalog, including writing and production credits, as well as his performance credits for multiple instruments on each track.

As a devout JW, he is unlikely to repeat Janet Jackson's huge faux pas.

i'm not sure why they picked Prince, but being a former italian futbol player herself, she's a perfect fit, maybe she's under the impression that it's futbol, not football
