I have never heard of making your cervix dilate. Mother nature is the only source or the dr tools can dilate your cervix. Why would you want to do that anyway??

There are various ways i am sure. In the hospital they suggest things like walking. They may even put you on a birthing ball(yoga ball) to help open up. You can also try looking around the web for different herbs, remedies and such to help. However, opening is different than softening, but that is different. you can try a few things to stimulate contractions, but it wont guarentee dialation. Some things are walking, sex, nipple stimulation, or at the very worst castor oil, though I dont recomend it. It may just give you an upset stomach and do nothing at all to put you into labor. None of it worked for me however, but I didnt try the oil, I was chicken.

You shouldn't be trying to make your cervix dialate. If you are overdue and want to be induced, you need to talk to your OB.

You can use evening primrose oil... insert 2 capsules a night before bed.

It will happen when it's ready..people say walking, sex, nipple stimulation blah blah but nothing works for sure..it will just happen when it's ready.
