OS/X will play many legacy programs by running in emulation mode (presuming by "old" you mean OS/9 or earlier).

The bigger problem is that most of the new macs have CD-ROM drives, and if your game is on a floppy, you'll be out of luck. Otherwise, you should be able to play most (not all) games. Give it a try!

There are probably some patches to play the really old games on a new Mac. You may want to check out the developer's website for it though. I know Blizzard released a patch enabling OS X to play Starcraft.

The more moderen macs do not help classic. in case you truly want to play those video games you should get Parallels computer for mac, deploy homestead windows, and play the win95 version of the video games.

if you have a powermac model (the ones with a separate monitor and computer) then it should be easy especially if you have OS X tiger. legacy and classic are updated to perform old games. Powermacs have a floppy port
