Chicken soup and orange juice works wonders.

The best way to get over a cold is to attack the symptoms that bother you the most.

For a runny nose, try 60 mg pseudo-ephedrine every 8 hours.

For a sore throat, 2 tbs of honey and 2 tbs lemon mixed.

For heavy phlegm, try Mucinex.

If you attack the 1 or 2 symptoms that bother you most, it will make things easier.

hope you feel better.

I don't know about cold medicine, but my cousin swears by these vitamins (Medicine, something) called Wellness Formula. You get it at health food stores. She says she takes that at the first sing of sniffles, and never gets sick. She even gave us a bottle for Christmas.
