There's a small hole in the lint screen on my clothes dryer. Can it be repaired? I have a screen repair kit for windows that has double sided tape, but with the heat from the dryer, I know this won't hold. Any solutions?

They make screen patches that have small wires that hook over existing screen and bend to hold them in place. That would be worth a try. You can also use a high heat epoxy.

Simply go to your local appliance parts store with the old lint filter and the model and serial numbers and brand name of your dryer. If they do not have it on their shelves they will be able to order an exact replacement for you. If too much lint is allowed to get into the vent it will block up and make the dryer run too long to dry your clothes. It will also cause the heating element or a thermal fuse to go bad. In the long run it will cost you more money to have a working dryer than it will cost for a new lint filter.
