It doesn't have to be exactly and you don't have to count the little itsty-bitsy ones.

The surface of the moon is scarred with millions of impact craters. They range in size but most have diameters less than about 10 miles. There are over 40 impact basins. An impact basin is an impact crater that has a rim diameter bigger than 185 miles. Schrodinger is one of the youngest impact basins on the Moon with a diameter of 200 miles.

There have only been 120 craters recognized on the moon. There is no telling how many craters are really on the moon. A better question would be, who would count all of those craters?

The number of craters on the moon is uncountable, because no matter how much you magnify the moon you will still see more craters, the smallest being so small that they are invisible to the unaided eye. The crater pattern is a fractal!

It depends on where you draw the line between genuine crater and itsy-bitsy. Impossible to answer. It's like asking how many rocks there are on Earth.

The NASA Catalog of Lunar Nomenclature lists 8479 craters on the Moon with names or other designations. This is, obviously, a small fraction of the total.

Too many to count. It's like asking to count grains of sand. There are some that cover over others.
