My cousin overdosed on pot. He was just a kid. 19 years old, and a senior in high school. Everyone love him. He was a football player, and an active member in our church.

Well 1 day, during his senior year, he went to a party. Some liberal parents had gone out of town, and left their child unattended (why am I not surprised by the irresponsible parents) so of course, he threw a party. Well when my cousin arrived the kids were drinking, smoking, and behaving poorly.

Since most of these kids were passing around a marijuana cigarette, my cousin felt out of place. At first, he refused to smoke. But the kids kept putting peer pressure on him by saying things like, "one puff won't hurt you" and "all the cool kids are doing it." Finally, my cousin succumbed to the pressure, and he took a puff.

Immediately he went into convulsions. Then he stopped breathing. Finally, his heart just gave out. By the time the paramedics arrived it was too late. He was Dead!

Kids, just say No!!!!!

I lost my entire family to marijuana.
Mom and dad took us (me and my 11 brothers and sisters) on a camping trip one summer. We had set up the tent (we all slept in one big sleeping bag inside one big tent) and got the fire going. Mom was getting ready to make some mountain pies in our Coleman mountain pie maker. Dad was tuning up his acoustic guitar for a sing-a-long. My little brother Mark trotted off into the woods to find some more fuel for the fire. He came back with an armful of sticks. What we didn't realize was that while looking for sticks he had stumbled upon a patch of marijuana (probably belonging to some disgusting hippy) and accidentally grabbed some of it!
Soon the marijuana was burning in the fire and my whole family was unknowingly breathing it in to their lungs!!!! Soon, everyone had gone insane from the drug. My sister Rachel started clawing at her face, screaming that there were potato bugs under her skin. John, my oldest brother, started chuckling at this, but then he couldn't stop laughing and ended up suffocating. Mom started screaming that she was in the Rapture and began to rip out large hanks of her hair in ecstasy. Matthew, my younger brother.was busy eating hot coals out of the fire because he thought they were "diamond gummy bears". Dad took the white hot mountain pie maker from the fire and started swinging it wildly, killing many of my siblings and ruining the mountain pie that was in the mountain pie maker.
I won't continue with the horrid details.
Sufficed to say, everyone died but me. I survived by escaping on the back of Jesus, who flew down out of a pine tree and carried me safely back to his nest. I remain there still, nestled in His soft feathers. He lets me use his computer after he goes to bed at night.
So you see what marijuana is capable of?
Do you STILL think it's harmless?!!

Oh and also, it also makes you rape people. I forgot to say that.

No, nobody else has lost a family member to marijuana overdose, and your story smacks of bovine fecal material. How do you know the parents were liberal? A nineteen year old is not a kid, he's a young adult, thus his parents weren't being irresponsible. How do you know he "felt out of place"? Either this is BS or you were there, and if you were there, you could have prevented this. You say he "took a puff" and "went immediately into convulsions". It has been established by experimentation in mice that the dosage of marijuana necessary to cause an overdose is 40,000 times the amount needed to get high. There has never, in all of recorded history been a documented case of marijuana overdose leading to death. If this story is true, then I'm sure it made the papers. Please cite the newspaper article. If you can, then I apologize. If you can't, I'm calling you a liar.

I have smoked marijuana but don't anymore, so I'm not defending the use of marijuana. However, I would agree with the others that there was some preexisting condition or it was the alcohol. In fact, I'd wait for the full toxicology report from his autopsy before I blame marijuana. I would not be surprised if there might be some other more lethal substance found in his blood that caused the death. If you are relying on the kids information, they would never admit to anything other than marijuana and alcohol. They're in enough trouble already so admitting to amphetemines, cocaine, heroin or other hard drugs would be detrimental to any legal problems they already have from this case.

You cannot overdose on marijuana!!

I DO NOT CONDONE WEED AT ALL!! But it is scientific proof that you cannot overdose on weed. You will pass out before you can possibly overdose... He had another condition that may have interacted with his drinking and maybe his smoking but it was not overdosing of weed.

Again, I hate that stuff and hate it when I see people do it. But facts are facts and I am truly sorry for your loss...

By the way, Liberal or not Bad parenting, is Bad parenting. Just because you are a conservative doesn't in anyway show that you are a good parent.

One puff and he went into convulsions? That isn't an overdose. It's probably some sort of pre existing condition. It would be really hard to OD on marijuana. Is this question a put on? If it isn't I apologize but it sounds like a take-off on Reefer Madness.

you know... it was probably the alcohol not the weed. the fatal dose for marijuana has never been established. there isn't a single recorded case of a marijuana fatality.

ordinarily what seems to happen is kids will get really wasted and then get high. the pot surpresses their nausea so then they pass out and die of alcohol poisoning.

I'm sorry for your loss. I had a friend who smoked pot many years ago when it first came into style. He smoked day and night and soon developed a brain tumor and died 6 months thereafter. Doctors said it was definitely due to pot. It is a horror and should be banned even though it has its uses in medicine. Only doctors should be able to prescribe it.

You are a bad liar, there has never been a death caused by Marijuana, and if your story were true, it would be the first case and would have been plastered all across the news.
