what does it mean 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter wen it comes to rap music, and wen do they start and end

"New joint out 2nd quarter, go cop that ****!"

1st quarter - January - March
2nd quarter - April - June
3rd quarter - July - September
4th quarter - October - December.
