There is nothing wrong with being proud of who someone is. Don't let anyone tell you that being proud of who you are is a bad thing. Minorities in this country all have pride days or even months, and being white, you are equal to them, so be proud of who you are and love all others as yourself! Its what Jesus said was the second most important commandment!

Personally, as a person of the brown persuasion (read: dark south indian), I know that its a faux pas for whites to be proud of their... whiteness. But if other ethnic groups can do it, I say whites should be able to do as well.
There's just the problem of what happened last time whites became proud of their skin... and saw people who weren't like them.
Rather than being proud of being white, I would say nationalism is a more healthier and more politically correct form of pride.

There is nothing wrong of being proud of what you are, but it is bad to be over proud, or thinking your race is the best.

What's to be proud of? People of European heritage may have accomplished a lot through history ... but these accomplishments have less to do with their skin color (although white supremicists would have you believe otherwise) and more to do with various social, economic, political and historical factors.
Minority groups who embrace "pride" in their race, ethnicity, faith, etc. do so as a means of reaffirming their place in society because (as a cursory glance at history proves) they have traditionally been excluded, marginalized or disenfranchised by a power structure dominated by whites.
White people - and yes, that includes me - would do better spending their time learning about the struggles of their fellow human beings because, as often as not, these trials and tribulations are common to most people.
Those who take pride in being "white" entertain a philosophy that is morally and intellectually bankrupt.

Why do you even ask? Have white people been historically put down in the U.S.by some other majority group or something?
Quite frankly, you sound like a closeted bigot just looking for some affirmation.

There is nothing wrong with being proud of your race as long as you don't condemn other races in the process.

People don't want white people to be pround.
You see black pride, native american pride, asian pride...etc
But if you have white pride then you are considered to be racist.
It is very screwed up and not right.
There is so much discrimination against white people.
White people are always blamed for everything bad that happens. It's not right, but what can be done?
