I'm not sure about the 'opening up the UDP ports' solution. If a port is blocked, it simply wont work. Ports dont open and close on the fly. This is a firewall issue that you are not having.

Let me ask you something: Your router: Is it a $20 model, or at least $50? I'm not asking to be sarcastic, but if you are pumping a lot of data through the router when you are gaming, it may be rebooting. The 360 will notice this and freak out. The PC will notice too, but wont care.

Look up your model of router using the below link and see how yours stack up. This is a good site to read up on.

Make sure you get escalated in Tech Support till you get someone who knows what UDP is. Its a pretty common data transfer type. Theyll have to open up the UDP ports on the router. Dont take 'We dont know' for an answer, any tech worth a penny knows what UDP is!
