The fact that she made this decision on her own and that it was not coerced show that feminism is still at work. All woman should be given the choice of staying home, men should be too. Government should subsidize this as a very important social position. Men have to stop judging other men who decide to do this.

She's doing us a favor. A career is a fine thing to have and women need to be proactive in affecting the world around them and what better way to do it than to raise the next generation of people that will perhaps accomplish even greater things.Motherhood is for many women the greatest, most challenging and best of all the careers a woman can have.

From a business world standpoint -- feminism is hurt in the sense that it reinforces a fact of life that some women are forced to choose between a career and being a stay-at-home mom.

It would be idealistic, but not realistic, to think men have to face that same decision. They don't, so the differences between men and women, for better or for worse, are highlighted.

helped. Its great women can make choices. Some women are totally against choosing a career over raising the children and are against other women who do that. I think you can still have a career and make time for your children. All situations and people are different and whatever choice a women makes is just wonderful because they get to make that choice and shouldnt think its wrong if someone doesnt do it the way they choose.

Helped. It's all about women being able to make unfettered choices. She chooses to give her children preference over her career. Good on her.

it's not that she did anything for feminism per se, but that feminism helped her by giving her the choice

Many feminists would be annoyed, but far be it from us to stand in her way. She's made a name for herself, and she's entitled to a period of relaxation (if you can call it that) if she wants it.
