Bush has proved that he is incompetent. To claim that others would just be 10 times worse is conjecture based on your closed mind. So your whole post proves that you are a closed minded hypocrite.

I am certainly not in favor of everything that Bush has done but at least the guy has presented ideas. He presents an idea for social security reform and he's an idiot. He present a plan for health care and he's an idiot. Well I don't see too many democrats presenting alternatives. I think the democrats have some valid ideas but they are all so concerned with saying the "right or wrong" thing that none of them will say anything at all except bash the right. All you have to do is look at the last election and see for yourself how they won. Bashing the right and calling for changes in strategy....STILL WAITING TO HEAR THE STRATEGY. Can we please get people in Congress that will do something for the people besides rip the other party and talk about, "the people have clearly shown they want a change in Washington". Enough talking already...get to Doing already.

Essentially, George W. Bush has become the "whipping boy" for the left. If you read the papers and watch the news shows, you find that essentially every evil that has befallen man is the fault of George W. Bush.
I am still trying to figure out how he "steered" Hurricane Katrina into New Orleans 9th Ward. It was truly an amazing feat!
And Global Warming...simply unbelieveable. That he could create that widespread of a problem...when he has only been in office for 6 years!
And that is to say nothing of Terrorism! If you listen to the left, there were no terrorists prior to his taking office.
The list goes on and on!
He has to be the most powerful and prolific leader the world has ever known.

I would like to believe that only the liberals are close minded, but that applies to a lot of conservatives as well. It also applies to some moderates as well. Everyone is close minded about some things. I don't like the fact that it is that way.
I don't like everyone criticizing President Bush but it doesn't mean I am close-minded in his favor. There are things I don't like that he has done. But I freely admit that I am 100% close-minded when it comes to be in favor of Hilary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and Ted Kennedy. I would not vote for them under any condition. I think they are a disgrace to the Nation and I really feel the world would have been better off if they had never been born.

It seems i remember a lot of Clinton bashing too. hearing Clinton this, and Clinton that.
It is simple, people like to bash important people. I personally don't like Bush nor Clinton. Now that Clinton is out of office I like him more, i suspect that people will like Bush more when he is out of office. (I know I will). Now what nobody wants to hear, there are hypocrites in all walks of life. The mere fact that we label some people as conservatives or liberals is so that they can be bashed by the opponent. The vast majority of the U.S. is middle of the road. That means that they are not conservatives nor liberals but a mix of both idealogical ideas. What politicians need to learn is that they are not powerful without the backing of the common people. Unfortunately, most people have been brain washed to believe that the government always knows what is right for the people. Contrary to what Bush may believe, he is not the decider on any issues, it is the people that have the power in ALL issues, and the people have spoken clearly in the last election. Now if you didn't vote, shut the **** up! If you did vote, you have a right to have a voice, and to air your woes, but remember, majority rules, unless it violates the Constitution or Bill of Rights.

Oh yeah, it takes a strong leader to lead thousands of young men and women to thier deaths, and cause the deaths of thousands of innocent people caught in the crossfire. This is not about if your granny ran the country, because the American people assumed Bush had the skills to run a country from years in politics. You can't compare that to the average person.

I agree with you. What liberals don't understand is this, yes Bush is a freaken' idiot but someone is pulling the strings. A president is a puppet. The only reason why they put in a president is so that the people will think that they have a say.

After living through several wars, I have found that incumbent presidents always take a beating during wartime.
Democrats now honestly think Republicans voted against Bush in the last election when most were wanting to see the light at the end of the tunnel on the Iraqi war.
God bless the President, generals, service men and women, and even the Congress. We need to support them all, because they are working to serve us. If people don't agree with all politicians, they need to pray that they are able to receive the knowledge and wisdom to do what is best for the world (not just one party, or even just the USA, for we are a model and leader in the free world).

Liberals are very closed minded. They speak of being open minded and tolerant, until their views are challenged. Just look in the news.
At universities, controversial conservative speakers are constantly harrassed, interrupted or even assaulted by liberal students. No such acts occur when it's a controversial liberal speaker by conservative students.
Skeptics of global warming are not debated, they are ridiculed and silenced! The gal at the Weather Channel recently proposed that any weatherman doubting global warming have their certification pulled. Tom Brokaw stated in his special that debate is over and that skeptics are just funded by the special interests. Al Gore says the same thing.
Liberals would rather tear down a president, then seek out a way to be victorious in Iraq. Have you heard one noted liberal lately (except Lieberman) argue for a way to victory? Nope, they want this war to fail so Bush can get the blame.
You will usually find on the political bickering shows that the liberals never debate ideas, only try to ridicule or attack the standing of the conservative speaker.

Actually, it's CONS and NEOCONS that have a narrow minded mentality that bedevils any mind!
Just look at current event , regardless what Bush said or done, anything that is negative you will see the signature of NEOCONS on it.
