When our backs break and we sit her down she chucks a fit. How do we handle this tantrum? She's only a baby.

Try sitting down with her and reading or playing with her. Distraction does wonders. Also, it is ok for her to cry a little bit. The not crawling or cruising may be cause for concern. You may want to ask your doctor about that.

We had the same problem you may want him to get checked out by your baby dr. talk to him or her. Have your baby dr. evaluate your son maybe a reason why he's not walking by now. My 3 yr old now when he was 1 he never walked, never crawled, nothing he just got up, and ran. As soon as he ran, he started to walk, and than he crawl. We have found out that he is delayed, and he has some sort of Autism. This might be a sign your 1 yr. old might be delayed in some areas. Because they have caught it,early he is going to early childhood, and is getting PT,OT, and but of other therapies as well. He's still not talking as he should be, and we've been trying to potty train him as well but seems like nothing is working so we go by one day at a time. Also if your son is Autistic, you might be eligible for a service dog as well but they will not give your son a dog until he's 5 yrs. of age at least. I'm finding all of this out myself. So it's not strange, but could be letting you know something is up. Good luck with everything, and do take this very serious as well.

just let her throw her tantrum. If you do not react to it then she will learn it does not get her anywhere.

By the way the not crawling is nothing to be concerned about like the above post said. That would only be a concern if she was not showing any interest in walking either. Some babies skip the crawling part.

I had a daughter than never crawled either. Lead her over to a coffee table, chair or sofa and let her guide herself. By giving her the props to hold herself up she'll learn to manoever herself around a room. Ignore the tantrums. She'll get over it.

Its important to give in to the NEEDS of an INFANT because it teaches them to trust and builds confidence. When they become a toddler, things change. They are like mini-teenagers. They want things that you cant or shouldnt give them, and when they dont get their way, they get frustrated. Its also normal for them to get frustrated over not being able to do something that they really want to do. Hang in there, it wont hurt your child to experience a normal emotion at this age like frustration. Its something they all have to go through. If you keep giving in now, your child will be a nightmare later. Like I said, its ok to give a baby whatever they want, but by this age, a child has to learn to just deal now and then. Let her cry it out and if you dont give in, she will learn that screaming doesnt always get her way. I know it will be hard, but its about that time.

Whats the age. Might not be good to be up like that too much. Or if older, get her a walking toy to push.

deal with it - she will learn to walk on her own in no time... when you tire offer her riding or push toy ;) or distract her with a book...
If you have carpeting it might feel scratchy try getting her to crawl on a bare floor.. .

Try to incourage her to walk on her own. My mom told me that I did the same thing and it used to drive her crazy. She said she just kept trying to get me to do it on my own and finally I did.
