You have to dial 880 (or 808, don't remember) instead of 800 and you'll have to pay for the call, it won't be free for you

I tried once and it is not cheap at all!!

Yes, I have always been able to call 800 numbers this way from whatever country I was in. You first hear a lengthy warning that you will have to pay the international long-distance portion of the call. If you buy a cheap calling card in the country you are in, it should not be too expensive.

Nope. Not usually. You can't reach most American 800 numbers from Canada. (Very few - they must be paying extra for it, or just registered it separately in both countries.)

The answer depends on what country and sometimes what part of that country you may be in.

If you can get through, you'll need to pay for the call.

If you have an internet conection overseas however and can use Skype, then you can call them for nothing via SkypeOut,
