In order to override an executive order, you would need to amend the Constitution which means 3/4s of the states would have to ratify it. The Constitution very clearly states what powers are eligible to each branch of government. Bush is allowed to send more troops because he's Commander in Chief.

Otherwise, you would be forced to preventing future Presidential executive orders. This is why Democrats are currently trying to pass an order preventing Bush from deploying troops in Iran or from exercising any other military action (AKA airstrikes or cruise missile stirkes) there as well. Bush would be able to do this as long as he did not state a declaration of war.

The Seantors are against Bush being president also, they all want to be president. You can now determine the CHARACTER of your favorite senator. Will he cut and run or will be support Bush and the Iraqi people.

The Senate can not stop him from sending them but they don't have to increase the budget to pay for them. The president is the commander and cheif of the armed forces and as such he has the power to send them.

They say politics makes strange bed fellows. Apparently one has to look at the money trail as to why they would endanger another life without remorse. Greed, hatred and fear are the commonalities for war.
