With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

eragon (great movie),
You don't think your Dad is already scared? Kids are terrifying to begin with. Regardless of what he does, or what you think he does to you, it's out of a love unlike anything he has experienced before.
You won't be able to survive on your own because he has provided everything for you.
Finally (and don't be offended by this), but you are too stupid to run away. Believe it or not, that's a good thing. Someone your age will not be concerned about making it on their own if their parents are doing a good job.
All that being said, to answer your question, you will need at least $6,000 to get a place to live, pay utilities and deposits, furniture and food. This is for the first month.
If that is too long term, find a friend's house to crash at. Actually, many friends because you will wear out your welcome after a few days. You'll still need money for food, since they won't carry you.

Grow up. Mooch off your folks for a while longer then get a job and pay your own way in life.
You know, you have a lot more control in this relationship with your parents than you think. They love you and will do anything for you. You just need to learn how to work it to get what you want.
If you still are really thinking of running away to scare your dad, then I suggest you just go to a friend or relatives house and not tell him for a day or two. That way, you wont be in danger, and you will still get the effect you want.
Running away will really freak him out, and then he will never be able to trust you, though.

Ok..issues going on?
Clothes on your back. Live like the homeless. Find out where you can get free food, free clothing, usually churches have it, cirtain days of the week. Ask the homeless where they get food to eat, where you can stay warm for awhile. They are usually resourceful that way. You can go to a drop in centre for the day, if it is really cold outside then you will have a bed to sleep on if there is space, or they may give you a blanket for you to sleep outside.
If you are just going to your friends house to run away, take what you normally wear, toothbrush, deoderant, shoes.

I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but you picked a bad time of year to run away.
You need to take food (non-perishable), some bottles of water, money, warm clothes, and probably something to protect yourself with (the streets are dangerous).
Before you run away, you may want to think of other ways to get your father's attention.

My 16 yr. old daughter said that a cell phone would be good incase you get scared or lost. clothes if it's cold. always have a toothbrush and deordrant if you are going to be gone long.Toothpaste as well. Make sure you have a plan on hand. But always remember that life can't be that bad that you would need to do that. For everything you do there is a consequence for it. good luck and be safe!!!!!!

A supply of common sense would be a good thing. And a supply of worldly wisdom, and of course a supply of money. But the first would probably lead to the conclusion that warring with fathers can be done in other, less drastic ways.

well since you already know not to do it then if you did you should make sure that you have the essentials like food clothing and enough money so that you don't have to live on the streets if I were you I would think about going somewhere warm so at least you won't freeze to death
