I am having a situation with someone who had been a very very good friend in the past. Things happened, not between us, but just as a matter of course. We are not as close as we used to be. He says nothing has changed, all is the same. But phone calls are not answered like they were, or returned as quick. When we still get together, its as its always was, but I know something is different.

I just wish he would admit to it, I know it would hurt, but then I feel I could move on. I know it sounds silly. I am not asking for reasons or applying blame, but I guess I feel I need some sort of closure.

what I have found, when someone, especially a guy, is reluctant to open up, it's usually NOT because they want to avoid hurting your feelings, but because they feel silly and don't really know how to handle THEIR feelings. You can keep pushing, but in response, you may just push your friend further away. I say, wait a while and see if he can work through this awkwardness on his own. Also, friends change, life changes, and people grow apart, even if there is no one specific thing to cause this.

I would rather know the truth. I would be afraid it would hurt but at least you know what he has been wanting to tell you. Try to level with him. Maybe things will work out. Good Luck!

i agree with you so your going to have to sit him down and talk its most likely the only way for him to tell you what's going on with him
