The best way to use yarn for doll hair is to buy a wooden dowel the size of the curl you want, wrap the yarn in a single layer neatly around the dowel, lightly spray with with water until yarn is damp, then heat set it in the oven with the temperature at the lowest setting until it's dry. I've done this many times. Works like a charm!

there is so many types of yarns on the market..if you are using wool..that should work well....and this may work on other types..haven't tried...take the yarn wet it down...(your can separate the yarn to make smaller size curls )......than roll it on something like a straw or a pencil that doesn't have a metal end...or whatever the size curl you want..than put in the the microwave for a minute until it is dry..than lightly spray it...and carefully remove it from whatever you used to roll the yarn on..and it should have a curl.............

hope this helped.....

most yarn can be wrapped around a pencil or any sized dowel rod. spray with water or lightly with a hairspray. Place in a warm oven not over 250 for about 2-3 hours. This works very well.
