First of all rappers don't sing!!!
"His name is HOV, H to the OV" Jay-Z is the best rapper living hands down!!! He has really evolved over his career. I was so happy to see that he came back out of retirement. I have all of his albums to date. I am from the south so to say this mean I think very highly of him! After Mr. Shawn Corey Carter, there's the other Mr. Carter i.e. Dwayne "Lil'Wayne" Carter. He's been around for some time now too, but he hasn't become commercial. He does his own thing and people still like him. And the best part is he's only 24 so he has a lot of time on his side! And I could not leave out Young Jeezy. He's great too. I am not into all of the bubble gum "w"rappers out there.

Jayz, Nas, Papoose, AZ, Mos Def, Talib Kwali, Black Thought, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Styles P, Jadakiss, Young Jeezy, TI, and Ludacris. To name a few. I agree with Tissa, you guys answers suck. You young kids need to listen to some real rappers. and to all you people saying rap is not music: Wake up!!! Rap has been around for 20 yrs now and its not going anywhere. They said the same thing about rock in roll back in the day. If you dont like it fine but dont hate and dont judge something you dont understand.
