Receiver will be their first priority....
Their moneyball approach to WRs finally bit them in the butt against Indianapolis. Fisheye Caldwell dropped at least two passes that were guaranteed TDs - including that one where there was not a blue jersey for 10 yards between him and the painted grass.
I guarantee you if it was still Deion Branch split out wide, they'd be booking hotels in South Beach right now.

They may package them together to move up, but assuming they keep those two picks, I'd expect them to be a linebacker and a wide receiver. However, if Asante Samuel leaves, then you can bank on the Pats drafting a DB high.

They'll draft a WR since they traded Branch to Seattle. One WR for another. With the other pick, they'll draft CB. They might lose Asante Samuel to free agency.

i would think they would have to look at a receiver even though they drafted 1 last year but these guys are dropping passes when there is no one within 5 yards of them. also a middle linebacker to be groomed to replace tedy bruschi but if they lose asante samuel to free agency they will go after a CB

they even have the #24 and #28 alternatives and that they're going to in all risk get a huge time WR, simply by fact they lost david givens, deion branch, and such as you suggested, perhaps troy brown. so perhaps get calvin johnson or commerce for him. steve smith (usc) ought to help too. and so as that they could get a MLB, because they lost willie mcginest. so perhaps tim shaw from penn state.

Any guess will be wrong.:) Belichick and Scott Pioli like to play it close to the vest.
FWIW, I'd guess Line backer and defensive back.

D backs and D line, they were very thin at those positions.
