Follow your Doctor's orders and stay away from the nutty stuff people will tell you to try. Eat healthy, have a good calcium intake.Bone and it's repair and healing is on its own timetable, there's nothing you can do that will "speed" it up,but you can guarantee a well healed fracture just by following your Doc's orders,he's been to college and med school, and a 4-6 yr hospital surgical residency. Take care. SW RNP

I heard of a device a couple of decades ago (when I had a broken leg) that ran electricity thru the bone and that accelerated healing. Hard to find, expensive to obtain. Patience is cheaper, and builds character.

Time. That is it. You cannot make the bone repair itself any faster. Check with your doctor BEFORE you try any exercises. You could easily make the bone worse and keep it from healing properly.

1) Drink water.
2) Eat and drink dairy (milk, yogurt)
3) Do NOT eat/drink anything with Aspartame. It prevents your body from absorbing calcium.

Bones heal at their own rate. There's nothing you can do to speed it up. Be patient.

anytime you are suffering from an injury you should increase the caloric intake. your body needs more nutrients when it has suffered trauma of this nature.

I usually tell people to increase their calories to 110% of maintenance.
