and someone answers with verifiable facts, the asker and other answerers just keep talking and ignores the answer if it doesn't fit their pre-conceived notion? i see this happening all the time. why ask questions if you're not really interested in the answers?

Tink: i know lots of it is opinion, but i mean, like if you cite historical facts to back up your argument, they'll ignore you totally. i should have made that clearer.
