One of the contestants was named Sunlight. I think I'm going to name my baby Sunlight Leigh.

wow. people are really overreacting. just a name calm down.
i think it would be nice. i personally know 2 people named sunshine and we never joked them in school. really whats the most someone can say "what kinda name is that". not much of a joke. if u like it, Stick with it girl. like the world needs another Haylie or Caitlin.

While sunlight is something beautiful - Sunlight (as a name) sounds like the name of a porn star. No offense, but would you want to be called this your whole life? Also, isn't Sun Light a dish detergent? What would that look like on a resume?

Alrighty there my dear hormonal friend in waiting.
Just in case your eyes weren't working, last time I watched The Price is Right, the ladies weren't all that attractive. Picture this.......A large boned lady leaps out of her seat, makes the decision for those in her way to the aisle (*** or crotch). All the while likely bouncing herself along. Only to arrive out of breath and sweating in her I LOVE BOB shirt and of course leggings stretched beyond repair. "Whats your name dear"? says Bob.
"Sunlight Leigh"!!!!! Daydream over. Did you change your mind??

that is definitely unique. sunny is a cute nickname...i am not sure on sunlight though....it doesn't even flow off my tongue very well...i am not against words as names but i am not sure about compound words....
how about just Sunny Leigh?
or a name that means sun or something similiar....

I think Sunshine or Sunny is better. Sunlight does sound like dish-detergent or laundry soap. Sorry.

Do you hate your unborn child? She will be picked on her entire life. If you are ok wiht this and you are willing to accept her hatred of her name and you for giving it to her, then by all means, name her Sunlight. Or just keep her away from boys and men. I am 28 and still get made fun of for my name, but only by men. Women just think it is a pretty name.

Well that's up to you on what you name your child! I wouldn't personally name my child Sunlight...Too HIPPIE- ISH for me! Unless you are a complete stoner....LOL Sorry! But Honestly I don't like it!

Sounds like a hippy name. Sorry. Maybe Rainy, Sunny, Meadow, Autumn, Summer, Winter ect. Just anything but Sunshine. Sorry. There's this guy in my class who's really negative so we call him Mr. Sunshine. It always reminds me of him.
