Yes, in that they can refund the money or file charges against whoever cashed it. I assume it was forged.

go to small claims court clerk and make out charges of forgery against the party that cashed the check.....ask for the amount due you plus the court cost on the charges......if you win the judgement and he/she is working they will garnish their wages for that amount
You can take those papers and show to the bank that charges have been filed and let them know the error of what they did

No this happened to me. They will "investigate" and it took over a month with my bank only to have them tell me that the signature looked like mine and I couldn't PROVE that it wasn't me.

So in that time. Well starting with me not knowing about it, my bank account went negative and checks that I wrote all bounced. In addition to what the check was for, I have in excess of $300 in bank fees.

This all cost me in total over $800.

The banks write the laws now. The laws are stacked against us.

Need more information. It was made out to two people and the other person cashed it? It was a forgery?

If you didn't endorse the check, and they don't have your signature on the deposit slip, then yes, you can ask them to refund the money, plus any interest you may have lost.

If you did not sign the check it they should be. That would be a forged check and you shouldn't have to pay for that.
