If he wakes up to eat and be changed, then he probably needs the rest, but you should call his doctor if you're concerned. If he has a fever, watch it and give him some Baby Tylenol to keep it under control. If he has a cough, make sure his head is elevated when he sleeps.

Keep a close eye on him and let him rest unless the doctor says otherwise. His body probably knows what he needs.

Good luck--

You do not say how old he is, but I think sleep will help him recover from his illness. If he is old enough and has a fever give him infant tylenol. When he wakes up make sure to give him plenty of fluids and a bite to eat, to help get better quicker.

FI he is does this more than 2-3 days, or he has a high fever at all, call the pediatrician.

As long as he is eating and peeing and doesn't have a high temperature he will be fine. He might just have his schedule mixed up because he didn't sleep well the night before. If I were you, I would be getting some rest too because when he does feel better you are going to be up alot!

my daughter was sick a few days ago and did the same thing. just make sure that he isnt running fever..i would check it every 1-2 hours just to make sure..i assume he's on medication since you didnt say, and that could affect him as well. make sure he's getting enough fluids and keep a close eye on him. fever can dehydrate. if you cannot get the fever to break and it persists over a 24 hr period and continues to climb you should see a dr asap.

yes let him sleep. You may regret it at night but a sick baby needs all the sleep he can get. However that being said... sleeeping that long indicates that he is very sick, might even be dehydrated. If he is lethargic/listless when he wakes up, go to the ER!!

it is unhappy that you had to get him so youthful, yet you do what you should do. we've a Puggle (Pug / Beagle blend) which for sure would have countless a similar characteristics as a Beagle. I have some understanding of what you're speaking about....purely no longer as undesirable. enable me see if i'm able to assist circuitously. first of all, have you ever had a real infant? at the same time as they're first born, and for some months, they are going to keep you up at nighttime, call for your interest, cry about who's conscious what, and force you loopy. it really is what a touch one does. A 7 week previous domestic dog (or 8 week previous, and so on) is a touch one. it is nice education for the destiny in case you have not had a touch one :) a real infant will go away you exhausted too. also, he's in a sparkling ecosystem and it is going to take time for him to regulate. It receives more suitable as they become older....clone of with a touch one. they are going to sleep longer and change into more suitable self sufficient. yet they are going to nonetheless want your interest. They nonetheless want to be snuggled and performed with. there is no longer something incorrect with babying him....he's a touch one. We infant ours. And definite they have separation themes, yet at the same time as he receives a touch older you may artwork on that. We take our Puggle with us everywhere we bypass. he's under no circumstances left homestead by myself. As for the howling and barking, purely tell him no everytime he does it, and then praise him at the same time as he stops. he receives the conception finally. staying power and consistency are 2 issues it is nice to income at the same time as your domestic dog is studying each little thing else. Our domestic dog sleeps in a crate in our room. He wakes up in the course of the nighttime and that i take him potty. Then he wakes up back. i chanced on if he sleeps with us that he will sleep ALL nighttime till we awaken. He doesn't potty interior the mattress or tear something up. yet....he become 3 months previous previously we enable him sleep with us all nighttime. previously that we were worried that he would potty on the mattress or get into issues. We began through letting him sleep with us at the same time as he awoke early. it is been effective to get an finished nights sleep :) purely supply him a lot of love and interest. be affected human being and consistent. carry in there. it will be truly well worth the wait :)

Let the baby sleep, it needs it, especially if the baby is sick. I wish it a prompt recovery.

He should be fine. To set your mind at ease check him every 15 minutes. Babies need their rest to build their immune systems. Give him cuddles he'll get through it so will you. Take care.

You are probably medicating him for his illness. If so, that is what makes him sleep. If not, make sure he is not running a high fever!
