Firstly let me clarify.I am not an American and I do not live in America.
I am curious to know the answer.
Is it because he is a Republican and you would support any Republican President or do you genuinely believe he is doing a good job?

I support him because believe in what he is doing. He is making hard unpopular decisions and it is so refreshing to have a President who has his courage and foresight.

When Harry S. ("Give 'Em Hell Harry) Truman was President, he once quipped, "I don't give them hell. I just tell them the truth, and they think it's hell".

Bush is counting on the maturity of the American public to hear the truth. He doesn't pander with a whining, self-serving message. He doesn't pander to delusional Liberals who live in some idealistic dream world where, if we play nice with the terrorists, they'll leave us alone.

Even Bush's critics admit he says what he means, and does what he says. He's the polar opposite of John Kerry who would change his mind five times a day, depending on the opinion polls.

When Reagan was President, I thought his strategy with the Soviets had taken a wrong turn at one point. I was totally mistaken. Reagan was absolutely right. Just as Reagan had a clear vision of how to accomplish his goal of defeating the Soviets, I believe that George Bush has the right vision to convert the Middle East into a bastion of democracy, where civil rights are respected, and tolerance is practiced.

Sometimes, even a flawed plan is better than jumping around wildly from one approach to another. Liberals have no clear vision, so nothing gets accomplished.

So, until Bush decides to sugar coat the truth, maybe people who are distressed from hearing the truth should just take a Rolaids.

I am a rep.....

1. I do support some things he does, but not others....for example...I like the fact that taxes have gone down, stock market is up.....

2. I did not support going into Iraq...however, now that we are there, I do agree with him that we can't cut and run...we have to finish what we started.

3. I have also not heard any better suggestions from the Dems....all I hear is BUSH is doing a bad job...we need a new plan.....and then I never hear on from them......and every time I have heard a Dem asked if they have an idea or something....all they can say is "well I know we need a new plan and I don't think a troop surge is it.....I am talking with people who are talking with people, and they are going to form this committee to decide if we need a committee....and on and on...they never really give you an answer....at least bush says let do this....if it don't work we will do something else.....

I am a libertarian and did not vote for him. Many of his decisions were things I disagreed with. However, the right wing hatred and lies about him have pretty much assured that I and many like me will support him over any democrat.

Personally, I like the fact that he stands his ground and that he isn't an appeaser like the democrats are. Now you can watch their other tricks as they tie his hands at every turn then claim he does nothing. Given a choice I'd prefer Mickey Mouse over any democrat or republican. However, since the only real choices are between the democrats and the republicans I don't see how any rational and educated person could even consider supporting the democrats.

I support President Bush because he actually stands up to the terrorists instead of doing nothing about them attacking us or who just signs a paper saying he condemns their action which is pretty much just slapping their hand and telling them not to do that again. He has stepped up to keep the terrorists from coming over here and attacking us here again. Too many people in politics change their minds because of popularity even if it is for something that is for the better for the people.

Republicans want a strong infrastructure, we do exactly no longer experience that we ought to continuously spend trillions of tax money on money that isn't any longer stimulating a lot of a few thing! Your argument is weak and naive. is this a question or are you attempting to make a level? weak.

We support him because we believe he is right. Most peoples of the world have a tendency not to look past their noses at the bigger picture. They are too busy fighting off their own demons. At least we have a people that gives a damn about others outside our borders. Killing is a business for the terrorists and business has been good. Check around the corner and see if there is anybody else out there to stop these lunatics from killing folks at will. Good luck finding anyone. Its kind of like Chamberlain felt about Hitler. If you just left him alone, everything would be fine. 40,000,000 dead later we figured out that was wrong. So go ahead. Let'em run. They will get to you before they get to us so hunker down and let'er rip.

Unfortunately in America, the most outspoken people are generally those who support their resepective party regardless of the person representing that party. That fact is highly evidenced here on Y! Answers.

The vast majority of Americans do not support Bush. His approval rating is hovering around 35%.

Most of those who support him still site his strong resolve and his unwillingness to waiver from his convictions...that is also precisely why most don't like him. They see as a failure to admit and correct a mistake.

I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat per say, but he is our President and I will support him. Its no worse than the number of people who supported Clinton during those 8 years.

He's no Ronald Reagan by any stretch, but he is doing his best(given the circumstances), and I'll support him for that. I'm not blindly following his lead. Example: He's spent a huge amount of money while he's been in office, I have a big problem with that.

If you're not an American, and don't live here...why would you care? It's our government...our problem...so why become involved by asking this question?
